I was born in Denmark, but when I was six years old my family moved to Portugal, where I spent the next 23 years of my life. When I returned to Denmark eight years ago, I was confronted with a realization that changed everything: I had been living a life that no longer felt like my own.

I found myself in an unhealthy relationship that had lasted far too long. I disliked my work, and the lifestyle I had built felt increasingly disconnected from who I truly was. Somewhere along the way, I had created an identity that no longer reflected my authentic self.

It often felt as though I was playing a supporting role in someone else’s film rather than being the main character in my own story. Fear, anxiety, grief, addiction, and regret had quietly taken their place in my life..

Even in the darkest moments, there is always a spark of light. For me, that spark was curiosity. It began to guide me out of the fog. I started asking questions—about the world, about my perspective on life, and about who I truly was. The more answers I discovered, the stronger my inner fire grew. Each new insight felt like adding wood to a flame that had been waiting to ignite.

This search eventually led me to therapist Signe Biering Nielsen, whose guidance I deeply value and warmly recommend. Working with her marked the beginning of a profound personal journey. Shortly after beginning therapy, I also enrolled in a four-year psychotherapy training program at ID. During those years I discovered layers within myself that I had never known existed.

Yet nothing challenged or transformed me more than becoming a father. For much of my life I struggled to find a deeper reason to grow, to take responsibility, or to become the best version of myself. That changed completely when they were born. Words like responsibility, love, patience, frustration, strength, resilience, and perseverance suddenly took on a new and very real meaning.

There is a saying: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears. When the student is truly ready, the teacher disappears.” For me, fatherhood became that teacher.

Before that, I often felt overwhelmed by the future. I carried a quiet anxiety about the state of the world and wondered how one person could possibly make a difference. It seemed as though many people, like I once was, were moving through life half-asleep—afraid to confront themselves, afraid to take responsibility, afraid to live in true harmony with others, with themselves and with the world around them.

This is why I chose to become a therapist. I want to help others rediscover themselves. Each of us carries something unique that we can offer the world. The question is: what is yours? What is the thing that ignites something within you—something you feel called to pursue regardless of obstacles?

I was fortunate to receive guidance and support along my own journey, and now I wish to offer the same to others. I cannot promise a specific destination, but I can promise to walk beside you along the way. Together we can create a path forward that feels meaningful, authentic, and true to who you are.

I am deeply passionate about helping people move beyond limiting beliefs about themselves and the idea that change is impossible. With openness, curiosity, and trust, new insight becomes possible. Growth becomes possible. Transformation becomes possible.

Let me help you reconnect with what truly moves you—what sparks your curiosity and brings meaning to your life. Together we can explore how you see the world, understand the challenges you face, and uncover the deeper patterns behind them. From there, real and lasting change can begin.
